Death March

Death March
My Project is going through the Death March phase and I don’t seem to care. What’s a Death March you say?
Death march projects are becoming increasingly common in the software industry. The symptoms are obvious: The project schedule, budget, and staff are about half of what is necessary for completion. The planned feature set is unrealistic. People are working 14 hours a day, six or seven days a week, and stress is taking its toll. The project has a high risk of failure, yet management is blind to the situation. Why do these irrational projects happen, and what, other than pure idiocy, leads people to get involved in them?

Free Twisty Bread
Just like any Domino’s/Pizza Hut Pizza, life comes with a Free Twisty Bread. I mean, that bread is so twisty that you start to think, if maybe its you who is twisty and not the bread. That you are still reading this elevates you to the more patient class of people. To you I say, Tomatoes! Red, Shiny, Squishy, Pulpy Tomatoes! (And some ketchup with that please.)

More Adams
“The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong, it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.”
True Words, and no wonder they were said by the most wise of all: Douglas Adams.
Maybe somebody’ll quote me too one day… That somebody will be a crazy man.
